Technology moves on and on, and we like to keep up to date with it. This makes our lives easier for a start, but also makes your treatment more comfortable, quicker, and more predictable.
We have introduced a new digitial Xray system which means that instead of a film, we use a detector plate (which feels and looks just like a film). This is then scanned in a computer rather than developed in a dark room, and the image comes up on our screens in minutes. It also means MUCH less radiation for you and so is safer.
Stains on teeth are usually removed with a brush and polish, but now we have the dental equivalent of the patio jet-washer! This water jet washes your teeth with a very mild polishing abrasive, and, like a certain beer, reached the parts that other polishes cannot reach.
The invisible orthodontic system from Invisalign moves on too with new software meaning we can straighten your teeth more easily and predictably then ever before. They have also introduced the Invisalign Lite systen for treating mild crowding. This is available here.
And lastly we are assessing the latest additions to the Kodak dental practice management software, called R4, which we are running. Adoption of this should mean easier access to all files and notes.
Remember: the dentists here may be getting old, but the kit and techniques are right up to date.
